Types of Thermostats

  • Manual Thermostats: The desired temperature is set manually
  • Programmable Thermostats: Users get an option to select or set different temperatures for different times in a day or week.
  • Smart Thermostats: Thermostats which can be remotely controlled by smartphones or from remote locations
  • Bimetallic or Mechanical Thermostats: These use a bimetallic strip to regulate or control the temperature
  • Digital Thermostats: These use electronic sensors for temperature (and humidity in some cases) and control. Some of the devices will have a HMI and display built in
