Product Overview
CL-120A is a CL series NTC inrush current limiter, disc thermistor with uninsulated kinked lead-wires are used to control inrush current when switching power supplies. The main purpose of limiting inrush current is to prevent components in series with the input to the DC/DC converter from being damaged. Typically, inrush protection prevents nuisance blowing of fuses or breakers as well as welding of switch contacts.
- UL approval (UL 1434 file# E82830)
- Low cost, solid state device for inrush current suppression and excellent mechanical strength
- Wide operating temperature range from -58°F to 347°F (-50°C to 175°C)
- Suitable for PCB mounting
- Low steady resistance and accompanying power loss
- Small physical size offers design-in benefits over large passive components
- Best-in-class capacitance rating
- 10 ohm resistance at 25°C and 1.7A RMS max steady state current
- 600VAC RMS at 120 and 150VAC RMS at 240
- 4.32joules max energy
