AD7694 is a 16bit, charge redistribution, successive approximation, PulSAR analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply, VDD, between 2.7V to 5.25V. The part also contains a low noise, wide bandwidth, short aperture delay track-and-hold circuit. On the CNV rising edge, it samples an analogue input, IN+, between 0V to REF with respect to a ground sense, IN-. The reference voltage, REF, is applied externally and can be set upto the supply voltage. It is used in applications such as battery-powered equipment, data acquisition, instrumentation, medical instruments, process control.

• 16bit resolution with no missing codes, operating current is 0.8mA typical
• Pseudo-differential analogue input range from 0V to VREF with VREF upto VDD
• No pipeline delay, standby current is 1nA
• Proprietary serial interface SPI®-/QSPI™-/MICROWIRE™-/DSP-compatible
• Integral linearity error is +6LSB maximum at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.25V)
• Transition noise is 0.5LSB typical at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.25V)
• Signal-to-noise ratio is 92dB typical at (fIN = 20KHz, VREF = 5V)
• Total harmonic distortion is -106dB typical at (fIN = 20KHz, VDD = 2.7V to 5.25V)
• 9MHz typical -3dB bandwidth at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.25V)
• Operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C, package style is 8-lead MSOP
