Product Overview
AD8402ARUZ100 is a 2-channel digital potentiometer. This device performs the same electronic adjustment function as a mechanical potentiometer or variable resistor. It contains two independent variable resistors. This part contains a fixed resistor with a wiper contact that taps the fixed resistor value at a point determined by the digital code loaded into the controlling serial input register. The resistance between the wiper and either endpoint of the fixed resistor varies linearly with respect to the digital code transferred into the VR latch. Each variable resistor offers a completely programmable value of resistance between the A terminal and the wiper or the B terminal and the wiper. It is used in applications such as mechanical potentiometer replacement, programmable filters, delays, time constants, volume control, panning, line impedance matching, and power supply adjustment.

- 71KHz typical -3dB bandwidth at (R = 100Kohm, VDD = 3V ±10% or 5V ±10%)
- VW settling time is 9μs typical at (VA = VDD, VB = 0V, ±1% error band)
- Total harmonic distortion is 0.003% typical at (VA = 1V rms + 2Vdc, VB = 2Vdc, f = 1KHz)
- Shutdown current is 5μA maximum at (VA = VDD, VB = 0V, SHDN = 0)
- Supply current (CMOS) is 5μA maximum at (VIH = VDD or VIL = 0V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 14-lead TSSOP package
