Product Overview
AD9228 is a quad, 12bit, 65MSPS analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) with an on-chip sample-and-hold circuit designed for low cost, low power, small size, and ease of use. Typical application includes medical imaging and non-destructive ultrasound, portable ultrasound and digital beam-forming systems, quadrature radio receivers, diversity radio receivers, tape drives and optical networking test equipment.

- 1.8V supply operation and 119mW ADC power per channel at 65MSPS
- SNR = 70.2dB, ENOB = 11.37bits, SFDR = 85dBc at fIN = 2.4MHz
- Excellent linearity: DNL = ±0.3LSB (typical) and INL = ±0.4LSB (typical)
- Serial LVDS (ANSI-644, default), Low power, reduced signal option (similar to IEEE 1596.3)
- Data and frame clock outputs, 315MHz full power analogue bandwidth and 2V p-p input voltage range
- Full chip and individual ch power-down modes, built in and custom digital test pattern generation
- Programmable clk-data alignment, programmable O/P resolution, standby mode, flexible bit orientation
- 48 lead LFCSP package
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
