Product Overview
AD9831ASTZ DDS device is a numerically controlled oscillator employing a phase accumulator, a sine look-up table, and a 10bit D/A converter integrated on a single CMOS chip. Modulation capabilities are provided for phase modulation and frequency modulation. Modulation is effected by loading registers through the parallel microprocessor interface. A power-down pin allows external control of a power-down mode. Application includes DDS tuning, digital demodulation.

- Resolution is 10bit (VDD = +3.3V ±10%, +5V ±10%)
- On-chip SINE look-up table, parallel loading
- Nominal update rate (fMAX) is 25MSPS (VDD = +3.3V ±10%, +5V ±10%), 125mW (5V) power consumption
- Maximum output compliance is 1.5V (VDD = +3.3V ±10%, +5V ±10%)
- Typical integral nonlinearity is ±1LSB (VDD = +3.3V ±10%, +5V ±10%)
- Signal to noise ratio is 50dB (min, fMCLK = 25MHz, fOUT = 1MHz)
- Total harmonic distortion is -53dBc (fMCLK = 25MHz, fOUT = 1MHz)
- Clock feedthrough is -60dBc (typ, VDD = +3.3V ±10%, +5V ±10%)
- 48-lead LQFP package, temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
