Product Overview
ADM3055E is an isolated controller area network (CAN) physical layer transceiver with integrated isolated dc-to-dc converter. Low propagation delays through the isolation support longer bus cables. Slope control mode is available for standard CAN at low data rates. Standby mode minimizes power consumption when the bus is idle or if the node goes offline. Silent mode allows the TXD input to be ignored for listen only mode. Dominant timeout functionality protects against bus lock up in a fault condition. The current limiting and thermal shutdown features protect against output short circuits. It is widely used in application such as CANOpen, DeviceNet, and other CAN bus implementations, industrial automation, process control and building control, transport and infrastructure etc.
- VIO pin for 1.7V to 5.5V logic levels, rated dielectric insulation voltage is 5000V rms
- ISO 11898-2:2016 compliant (CAN FD), high common-mode transient immunity is <gt/>75 kV/µs min
- Data rates upto 12Mbps for CAN FD
- Low loop propagation delay is 150ns max
- Bus fault protection is ±40V on CANH and CANL pins
- Low power standby support remote wake request
- Extra isolated signal for control (such as termination switches)
- Slope control for reduced EMI, minimum external air gap (clearance) is 8.3mm
- Operating temperature is -40°C to +105°C
- Package style is 20-lead standard small outline package with increased creepage [SOIC-IC]
