Product Overview
LT3009 series is a micropower, low dropout voltage (LDO) linear regulator. The device supply 20mA output current with a dropout voltage of 280mV. No-load quiescent current is 3μA. Ground pin current remains at less than 5% of output current as load increases. In shutdown, quiescent current is less than 1μA. This regulator optimize stability and transient response with low ESR ceramic capacitors, requiring a minimum of only 1μF. The regulators do not require the addition of ESR as is common with other regulators. Internal protection circuitry includes current limiting, thermal limiting, reverse-battery protection and reverse current protection. This is ideal for applications that require moderate output drive capability coupled with ultralow standby power consumption. Typical applications are low current battery-powered systems, keep-alive power supplies, remote monitoring, utility meters, hotel door locks.
- Operating voltage range from 1.6 to 20V, TJ = 25°C
- Adjustable pin voltage is 594 to 606mV at VIN = 1.6V, ILOAD = 100μA
- Output tolerance is ±2% over load, line and temperature
- Stable with low ESR, ceramic output capacitors (1μF minimum)
- Current limit protection, reverse-battery protection, thermal limit protection
- Ripple rejection is 72dB
- 8-lead plastic SC70 package
- Temperature range from –40°C to 125°C
