Product Overview
The MAX15062CATA+T is an ultra small, high efficiency, synchronous step-down DC-DC converter in 8 pin TDFN package. It has a peak current mode control architecture with a MODE pin that can be used to operate device in pulse-width modulation (PWM) or pulse-frequency modulation (PFM) control schemes. PWM operation provides constant frequency operation at all loads & is useful in applications sensitive to variable switching frequency. PFM operation disables negative inductor current & additionally skips pulses at light loads for high efficiency. The low-resistance on-chip MOSFETs ensure high efficiency at full load & simplify PCB layout. To reduce input inrush current device offers an internal soft-start. The device also incorporates an EN/UVLO pin that allows user to turn on part at desired input-voltage level. An open-drain RESET(complementary) pin can be used for output-voltage monitoring. It is used in HVAC & building control, 4mA to 20mA current loops & general purpose point of load.
