Product Overview
The MAX44009EDT+T is an industry’s lowest power ambient light sensor with ADC in 6 pin OTDFN package. This ambient light sensor has an I2C digital output. It has less than 1μA operating current and ultra wide 22bit dynamic range from 0.045lux to 188000lux. Low light operation allows easy operation in dark glass applications. The on-chip photodiode spectral response is optimized to mimic the human eye’s perception of ambient light and incorporates IR and UV blocking capability. The adaptive gain block automatically selects correct lux range to optimize counts/lux. The IC is designed to operate from 1.7V to 3.6V supply voltage range and consumes only 0.65μA in full operation. The MAX44009 is used in digital lighting management applications.
