Product Overview
The ZKRS485-USB is a 4-wire USB to RS485 Converter cable required for the positioning controls of the SMCIxx series and for all plug and drive motors in order to communicate with a PC or a PLC. If you want to install an RS485 network, please note our instructions in the manual and on the relevant product pages of the SMCI and plug and drive motors. When using laptops connected to the line supply, detach the power cable before connecting the USB cable as there is an 115VAC voltage present from the power supply while the battery is being charged. When the unit is plugged in, the DC current would otherwise run via the USB connection and destroy the motor controller. Repair would no longer be possible.
