Product Overview
AD74412R is a quad-channel software configurable input/output solution for building and process control applications. It contains functionality for analogue output, analogue input, digital input, and resistance temperature detector (RTD) measurements integrated into a single chip solution with an interface compatible with the serial port interface (SPI). This device features a 16bit, Σ-∆ analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) and four configurable, 13bit digital-to-analogue converters (DACs) to provide four configurable input/output channels and a suite of diagnostic functions. There are several modes related to the device. These modes are voltage output, current output, voltage input, externally powered current input, loop powered current input, external RTD measurement, digital input logic, and loop powered digital input. It is used in applications such as building control systems, process control, industrial automation.
- Screw terminals protected to ±40V, 13bit monotonic DACs
- Line protectors to block power from the screw terminals to supplies
- Charge pump for true zero voltage output, internal temperature sensor, 5°C accuracy
- On-chip diagnostics including open circuit and short-circuit detection
- Robust architecture, SPI, gain error is +0.4%FSR max at (AVDD = 14V to 26.4V)
- Internal 16bit, Σ-∆ ADC with optional 50Hz and 60Hz rejection
- Total unadjusted error is +0.4%FSR maximum at (AVDD = 14V to 26.4V)
- Integral nonlinearity is +4LSB maximum at (AVDD = 14V to 26.4V)
- Output noise spectral density is 2μV/√Hz typical at (AVDD = 14V to 26.4V)
- Operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C, package style is 64-lead LFCSP
