                      Product Overview

                      The MAX20021ATIB/V+ is an Automotive quad, low-voltage step-down DC to DC converter in 28 pin TQFN-EP package. This power-management IC (PMIC) integrates four low-voltage, high-efficiency, step-down DC to DC converters. It offers four factory-preset output voltages to achieve ±3% output-voltage accuracy and can deliver up to 1A of current. It features fixed-frequency PWM-mode operation with a switching frequency of 3.2MHz. The low-resistance on-chip switches ensure high efficiency at heavy loads while minimizing critical inductances, making layout a much simpler task with respect to discrete solutions. It offers a spread-spectrum option to reduce radiated emissions. Two of four buck converters operate 180° out-of-phase with the internal clock. This feature reduces the necessary input capacitance and improves EMI as well. All four buck converters operate in constant-PWM mode outside the AM band. It offers a SYNC input to synchronize to an external clock.

                      • Operates from 3V to 5.5V makes it ideal for automotive point-of-load and post regulation application
                      • Current configuration is 1A(CH1, CH4), 0.5A(CH2, CH3)
                      • Output voltage is 3.3V, 1.25V, 2.65/1.8V, 1.8V respectively
                      • Active time out period is 20,480cycles
                      • Individual enable inputs and power-good outputs to simplify sequencing
                      • I/P overvoltage protection, undervoltage monitoring, undervoltage lockout, overtemperature shutdown
                      • Cycle-by-cycle current limiting
                      • Soft-start and supply sequencing reduces inrush current
                      • Internal current sensing and loop compensation reduce board space and system cost
                      • Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
