Product Overview
NCP3063BDR2G is an NCP3063 series step-up/down/inverting switching regulator. It is a higher frequency upgrade to the popular MC34063A and MC33063A monolithic DC-DC converters. This device consists of an internal temperature-compensated reference, a comparator, a controlled duty cycle oscillator with an active current limit circuit, a driver, and a high current output switch. It was specifically designed to be incorporated in step-down, step-up, and voltage-inverting applications with a minimum number of external components. The applications include step-down, step-up, and inverting supply applications, high-power LED lighting, and battery chargers.

- Low standby current
- Darlington switch current is 1.5A
- Output voltage adjustable
- Precision 1.5% reference
- Internal thermal shutdown with hysteresis, cycle-by-cycle current limiting
- Threshold voltage is 1.250V typ (TJ = 25°C)
- Discharge to charge current ratio range from 5.5 to 6.5 (Pin 7 to VCC, TJ = 25°C)
- Collector off-state current is 0.01µA typ (VCE = 40V)
- SOIC-8 package, operating junction temperature range from 0 to +70°C
