Product Overview
HMC424ALP3E is a broadband, 6bit, gallium arsenide (GaAs), digital attenuator in low cost, leadless surface-mount package with a 31.5dB attenuation control range in 0.5dB steps. The device allows a user to program the attenuation state via six parallel control inputs toggled between 0V and VEE. Application includes cellular infrastructure, microwave radios and very small aperture terminals (VSATs), test equipment and sensors, intermediate frequency (IF) and RF designs, military and space.
- Attenuation range is 0.5dB (LSB) steps to 31.5dB
- Step error is ±0.5dB (typ, between any successive attenuation states)
- Low insertion loss is 2.8dB at 4GHz, high linearity at VEE is -3V
- Input P0.1dB is 22dBm typical, input IP3 is 45dBm typical
- High RF input power handling is 25dBm maximum
- Low relative phase is 30° typical at 6.0GHz, single-supply operation range from -3V to -5V
- Frequency range from 0.1 to 13.0GHz (VEE = -3V to -5V, TCASE = 25°C)
- Insertion loss is 2.8dB (typ, 0.1GHz to 4.0GHz, TCASE = 25°C)
- Return loss is 13dB (typ, all attenuation states, 0.1GHz to 13.0GHz)
- 16 lead LFCSP package, operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
