                      Product Overview

                      HMC470A is a 5bit digital attenuator with a 31dB attenuation control range in 1dB steps. It offers excellent attenuation accuracy and high input linearity over the specified frequency range from 100MHz to 3GHz. However, this digital attenuator features ACG pins for external ac grounding capacitors to extend the operation below 100MHz. It operates with a single positive supply voltage from 3V to 5V and provides CMOS-/TTL-compatible parallel control interface by incorporating an on-chip driver. It is used in applications such as cellular infrastructure, microwave radios and very small aperture terminals (VSATs), test equipment and sensors, IF and RF designs etc.

                      • Insertion loss is 1.7dB typical at (2.3GHz to 3GHz, VDD = 3V to 5V, VCTL = 0V)
                      • Excellent attenuation accuracy is 0.3dB typical
                      • High input linearity
                      • 0.1dB compression (P0.1dB) is 27dBm typical
                      • Third-order intercept (IP3) is 48dBm typical
                      • High power handling is 27dBm typical at (VDD = 5V)
                      • Low phase shift is 27° typical at (1.5GHz to 3GHz)
                      • Operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C
                      • Package style is 16-lead lead frame chip scale [LFCSP]
