LTC2858HDD-1#PBF

LTC2858HDD-1#PBF is a slew rate limited 15kV RS485/RS422 transceiver. It fail-safe feature that guarantees a high output state under conditions of floating or shorted inputs. The driver maintains a high output impedance over the entire common mode range when disabled or when the supply is removed. Excessive power dissipation caused by bus contention or a fault is prevented by current limiting all outputs and by thermal shutdown. Enhanced ESD protection allows this part to withstand ±15kV (human body model) on the transceiver interface pins without latchup or damage. Application includes low power RS485/RS422 transceiver, level translator backplane transceiver.

• Guaranteed failsafe receiver operation over the entire common mode range
• Current limited drivers and thermal shutdown
• Power up/down glitch-free driver outputs
• Supply current in receive mode is 540µA typ (no load, DE = 0V, active low RE = 0V)
• Compatible with TIA/EIA-485-A specifications
• Differential driver output voltage is 1.5V min (R = 27ohm (RS485), VCC = 4.5V)
• 8 lead plastic DFN package, automotive temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
