Product Overview
LTC3589-2 is an 8-output regulator with sequencing and I²C. It is a complete power management solution for ARM and ARM-based processors and advanced portable microprocessor systems. The device contains three step-down DC/DC converters for core, memory, and SoC rails, a buck-boost regulator for I/O at 1.8V to 5V and three 250mA LDO regulators for low noise analogue supplies. Regulator start-up is sequenced by connecting outputs to enable pins in the desired order or programmed via the IC port. System power-on, power-off, and reset functions are controlled by the pushbutton interface, pin inputs, or I²C interface. Application includes hand held instruments and scanners, portable industrial devices, automotive infotainment, medical devices, high-end consumer devices, multi-rail systems, supports NXP i.MX53/51, Marvell PXA, and other application processors.

- Typical oscillator frequency is 2.25MHz (TA = 25°C)
- Maximum duty cycle is 100% (VFB = 0V, TA = 25°C, minimum)
- Minimum feedback voltage range from 0.351 to 0.374V (BxDTV1 = BxDTV2 = 00000, VIN = 2.7V to 5.5V)
- 40-lead plastic QFN package
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to 125°C
