Product Overview
CYPD6227-96BZXIT is a USB Type-C controller that comply with the latest USB Type-C and PD specifications. This device provide a complete USB Type-C and USB-power delivery port control solution for PCs and notebooks. It includes a VBUS provider path load switch. This device also contain a true random number generator for authentication, a 32-bit, 48-MHz Arm® Cortex®-M0 processor, integrating a complete Type-C Transceiver including the Type-C termination resistors Rp, Rd, and dead battery Rd termination. Typical application is notebooks.
- Supports latest USB PD 3.0 specification, fast role swap (FRS), extended data messaging
- Integrated current sources for DFP role (Rp), default current at 900mA
- Integrated VCONN FETs to power EMCA cables, integrated dead battery termination
- Integrated USB 2.0 analog mux for USB 2.0 HS and UART data
- Slew rate controlled turn-on on the VBUS provider path, tolerant to 24V
- Integrated high-voltage LDO operational up to 21.5V for dead battery mode operation
- Two integrated timers and counters to meet response times required by the USB-PD protocol
- Integrated oscillator eliminating the need for an external clock
- 96-ball BGA package
- Industrial operating ambient temperature range from –40 to 55°C
